Hi, I completed week 6 run 2 on Saturday and for reasons Of childcare and other boring nonsense couldn’t do another run til tomorrow- I usually run sat mon weds. I’m running tomorrow but it’s the big scarey 25 minute one and I’m wondering if I’ll be ok having not been since Saturday or if I should repeat run 2 instead...any advice welcome 😀

Advice please-repeat run or not?
I think you'll be fine, it's not a very long gap between runs really.
I suppose not- I’m probably looking for reasons to put off the 25 min run! 😂
😂 No excuses! But seriously, hand on heart, I enjoyed that one far more than the other runs that week, much to my amazement. Even if I did spend the whole run thinking I can't believe I'm actually doing this... 😅
I should think you’ll be fine - I usually miss at least 2 and sometimes 3 days between runs (probably an age thing!) without any obvious problem, other than my normal ‘ability’ to shuffle! Break your 25 minutes into bite size 5 minute chunks!
I frequently have 3 days or more between runs and generally works out fine. Enjoy your next scheduled run.
I personally think that the only reasons to repeat a run should be either if you were unable to complete a run or if there has been a way too long of a gap. Example: 2-3 weeks gap at your stage. You should be fine.
Also, I think none here would suggest you to repeat the run. Close this topic and go run 😁
Happy running.
The great thing about this programme is that you can fit it in around you😊
I often have to go 3 days in between, due to shifts, other times its every other day. It all works.
Definitely not a reason to put it off. Nice try though 🤣🤣🤣
As the guide to the plan states healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running.
Pick up where you left off.
If anything the extra rest days will have your legs nice and fresh for that 25 minute run... go for it, you can do it.
You’ll be fine. I did wk6 R3 today after not running since last Thursday.
Good luck and enjoy!
