Whoop! Week 9 run 1. Where was the hill?

Feeling whoop whoop! Just got back from my run! 5k in 40 minutes. That includes the two 5 mins walks. But I'm still pretty chuffed and WOW the calorie burn is almost upto my goal of burning 500 calories a day for weight loss!

Speaking of weight loss.... I made a classic mistake of wearing uncomfortable clothes this run! I have almost dropped to sizes so my original running gear is too big and falls down. My middle gear is great but starting to get too big so I recently brought the next size down. However these are a bit too small still but should fit in a few more weeks. However my middle gear was in the wash so I decided to wear my newest gear! So the leggings were low on my hip and my top was rolling up revealing my jelly belly! So the first part of the run was wrestling with these issues! But I tightened my phone holder belt and used that to try and hold it all together and then I was ok! Lol

Next obstacle was it was still icy in patches so I ran in the road on parts.... And I was so busy concentrating on my step that when I looked up I realised I had completely gone up and over the hill that usually makes me feel like a snail taking a gentle stroll! I didn't even feel it today!!! Nor slow my pace. Or I don't think I did. Of course afterwards that's ALL I could think about so I was accutely aware of it on the return! But I didn't feel like I slowed like I usually do? So I am chuffed with that!

Its not a massive hill.... I don't think it's much more than the 5% incline I use on my treadmill.

Can't believe I only have two runs left!!! I definitely want to work on speed next.

Well done. It's an amazing feeling when you realise that you've covered 5k. I did my final run on Thursday and couldn't believe how far I'd come in 2 and a bit months, hope you're feeling the same.

Rather than can't believe how far I can run I can't believe how much I couldn't! It seems so unbelievable now to think I was struggling to run just one minute! This app has changed my life as I feel ashamed to think how far I had let my fitness slip! And no wonder I was getting so fat! Lol
