I went for my W6R1 yesterday morning in the park, since it was fairly light out and I thought it was a wiser choice given the frost: both because the park grounds and paths should be firmer and also because it just made for a more beautiful landscape to run in!
Honestly the run itself felt fairly easy after last week’s 20-minute one (I feel like any run with intervals is easy after that!), but who’s complaining, right? Not every time hard haha!
The highlight for me was coming up on a fox that had its back to me and for some reason didn’t hear me coming until I was about 5 feet from it and gave a little whoop — not sure why I did, maybe I just was so surprised that it was paying so little attention, since I couldn’t believe it just didn’t care that I was coming. The poor thing bolted!

We have two huddled up under our table outdoors ( I knew there had to be a reason not to rake up those leaves 😉) So cute. Sounds like a lovely run. Rfc x
That sounds really cute! It was a very lovely run indeed — I’m finding more and more I would rather run when it’s still light out and I can go through the parks AND get sunlight on my skin, than when it’s dark and that feels unsafe and I have to use the roads.
Haha poor him indeed. I didn’t mean to terrify him though: I honestly just felt like it’d be worse if he’d suddenly heard me a foot from him and a little “Woohoo” might be kinder. Oh well. Going out is fun, but it’s great that we get to run at all!
I probably would have tooted as well. I was on my way to the gym when my friend mentioned she would be up for a run so now back home in warmer clothes, waiting for her to get ready.
run 2 of week 6... I don't run alongside her for the whole run as I go so slowly but we agree the route and warm up and down together and can discuss it. It's rather nice
Lol I read that post: it was funny. It’s okay I guess. Every run can’t be our best yet. My run 2 of week 6 was hard (for extraneous reasons) and a bit of a slog, but here we are. 😏 I’m still looking forward to the final run of the week though, and I just keep telling myself it’s only five more minutes than last week!
