Due to the snow and ice here in a Buxton I’ve just completed another 5k on my cross trainer and it’s the last day of Red January that I have been taking part in. I knew I wouldn’t run everyday so I promised 10,000 steps everyday. I have averaged over 14,000 so pleased with that. Hopefully get an outside run done soon.
Weather (again): Due to the snow and ice here in... - Couch to 5K
Weather (again)
Nice that you have averaged 14,000 steps and completed another 5K on your cross trainer, not sure how long the snow will lie around in Buxton as your town is almost 1000 feet high, could be a while after looking at the weather forecast, hopefully you'll get a run soon outside, maybe next week. 😊 🏃
Ice just starting to go here... and snow may come overnight fml!
Great job on REDJanuary... I made it too with a good walk today but can’t wait to be running again.
You are doing brilliantly.... ice and snow here too..but the snow will melt and the days will clear... The roads are open again now including Axe Edge I am heading in to Buxton on Saturday!
You will be out again soon
Have a lovely day. Hopefully the sun will shine. The Buxton to Macclesfield Road is bad with drifting snow tonight, so is the Buxton to Leek Road.
I shall watch the forecast... it was beautiful up on the moors earlier.... some stunning photo shots taken!
If you are on Facebook follow buxton weather watch. Very informative. It has been foggy in Buxton all day today and blue skies and sunshine in Leek.
I had a couple of lovely snow walks over the fields and lanes towards Wyedale. It is so beautiful with the snow having frozen on the trees! I miss the running but hope that the melt will start at the weekend and then next week I can get back to it! Glad you had the cross trainer to fall back on for your January challenge!
