I should have done my first consolidation run this morning after graduating on Friday but we have snow and ice here in Buxton so I dusted off the cross trainer which I can’t remember the last time I used and did 5k on that. Much prefer running outside but it’s given this weather for the rest of the week so I think it will be cross trainer on Thursday too.

Same here in Glossop... well, not much snow but too much ice. Good call, it won’t last too long and then we are back outside!

I just hope that you can run when the weather improves.

A few years ago I read in some newspaper that Buxton which is a lovely town but is so high up in the Pennines that it is usually the first town in the UK to see snow in mid October and it lies around in cold weather as late as April the following spring. 😊

It’s snowing really hard right now. Glad I’ve got my cross trainer but don’t enjoy using it as much as running outside. Hopefully we won’t get it as bad as we did last year ☃️❄️🌨

Hello! I'm in Buxton too! I crammed in my run of the week yesterday before the snow arrived but the forecast isn't looking good for the rest of the week! Snow walks instead for me!

No wonder its snowing in Buxton, I just looked up the elevation of your town. It's the highest market town in England at 300m or 1000ft. The average temperature is 2C lower than Manchester.

Yes it’s usually colder here than towns not too far away.

It is a gorgeous place! The extra chance of snow is a bonus for me! You need to learn to love all weather here haha!

I think we are cut off now. Lots of blocked roads. Yes I love it here Buxton born and bred, would never leave.

Hello just looking at the forecast and it’s looking like another go on the cross trainer Thursday but it should be ok for an outside run Saturday 🤞
