Hi all, I’m new to posting but have been following throughout my Couch to 5K journey and love all the support and advice people have to offer.
Yesterday evening I completed the last run of week 5 and it was difficult at times but easier than I thought it would be! As usual I felt great afterwards.
Last night then I woke up with pain in my lower stomach and almost fainted (couldn’t feel my hands, shaking legs, had to crawl to the bathroom with the little energy that I had). I was sick a little but more because of the pain I think. It did ease off eventually.
Is this just a coincidence or could it be to do with pushing my body harder than ever yesterday and maybe not drinking enough afterwards? Did I do something wrong?
Any advice would be great so that I can possibly prevent this happening again.

That sounds nasty, poor you. As Oldfloss says, those symptoms don’t come under the usual runners complaints and it sounds more bug-like (not a medical expert here). I hope you make swift recovery 🙃
I had the same on Sunday: really nasty pain, a bit like trapped wind but worse. It lasted three hours and I was ready to call 101 and then it settled. I was sore and off my food for two days, very droopy on day 2 but seem to have bounced back and going for a gentle jog today. Coincidentally it was a few hours after a run but I’m sure it was a bug. Take it steady and I hope you’re feeling better soon 👍
Sorry about your health problems after run 3 of week 5 but as Oldfloss says I don't think it was to do with your running, take medical advice and hopefully you will resume running soon again with run 1 of week 6, be careful about that run as it has caught out a few people with its interval walks and runs.
