The exercises work!!

So as you know I did run 2 of week 1 yesterday. I had soo much pain in my ankles, shins, thighs and hips after my first run so I took everyone's advice and did dynamic exercises before my run and static exercises afterwards. Safe to say I have little to no pain today! Slight tightness in my thighs but I would say it's very normal considering I didn't exercise before this other than walking my dog. Amazing results and it's made me look forward to run number 3 tomorrow and hopefully I'll successfully complete week 1 ☺

I could barely walk after run 1 and I had to have 3 rest days before I could go out again! Someone sent me these links and I swear they have worked massively!

Hope they help you ☺

Thanks. I will have a go before next run x

What are dynamic exercises?

Dynamic exercises are for cold muscles so it gets them moving and warmed up before your run. These are the ones I used:

healthunlocked.com/api/redi...

They're basically moving exercises rather than holding a pose for a certain time.

That's really useful thanks!😊

I’m at the same stage as you. Last run of week one tomorrow or Tuesday!

Big well done 👏 keep going and stay safe👍🌈

Hi I was wanting to know what are dynamic and static exercises, I think I would benefit from these myself as I have fibromyalgia, and I'm struggling at the moment. Thanks

Hiya! I used these ones before my run which I found really helped warm me up before I went out. Afterwards I did the static poses. I found that I was in virtually no pain after my run ☺
