...to punching the air! :D

Cracked it!!

Like most, have been building up to this one the last couple of weeks, as it seems such a jump. Was up early, nice coolish morning for it, same route (didn't want to rock the boat) and all went too well :)

Took it very steady, managed half of the hill at the half way point, my GPS kickstarted itself a little earlier this morning too, so it made my 1 mile marker a little bit easier to reach. Was tempted to go a little further up the hill to my usual corner but thought I'd better not push my luck.

Turning back I was a little slower on the decent than I would usually be, but it gave me good chance to recover and let the time wash over me. Knew it was mostly downhill the way back, but still a good mile to go.

With about 2 minutes to go started feeling a little tight chested, so again just slowed down a bit. Calves heating up in the last minute but when Laura spoke up at the end, made all the hard work worthwhile :D Amazing feeling, almost feel like a runner now hah.

If anyone has any doubts about this one, don't! Main thing is to be positive, make sure you have completed everything before it and take it very steady. You have built up for this one and just enjoy the run!

Many congrats, and for keeping it up! Think that is 90% of the battle but now it's more enjoyable has become a lot easier to contemplate going further.

Definitely! Thought I would be absolutely shattered by the end, but was really surprised. Sure I will have days like that to come though! Congrats to yourself as well :)

Hah looks impressive doesn't it? It's no where near as tough as Strava makes it look :D On a photo it'd all look pretty flat! google.co.uk/maps/@53.65605...
