My God Week 1 Run 1 is unachievable by me, they should start with easier ones than this.

Were you running too fast? My brisk walk is way faster than my running, so try again but go verrrry slowly on the runs. My first one I went too fast and I was completely bright red! After that I slowed right down and found my groove for slow steady progress. I hadn’t run for nearly 40 years when I started this, if you take it slowly you’ll make great progress. Good luck!

I'm 26 stone and for first timer on this I couldn't walk 2min without getting breathless

Still a great effort in trying and as AlMorr says just do 30 seconds and repeat the week trying a bit more each time. Only move on to the next week when you can complete it. This isn’t a race, the most important things are doing it and not injuring yourself. You will be amazed at the progress you do make. Make sure you have good running shoes to protect you. Stick at it’sbd good luck!

Congratulations on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1 Raxz, you can repeat any runs or only run for 30 seconds to begin with. The program is made for beginners and is achieveable, just grind in there, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1 🏃😊

Just go slowly. It’s about stamina and not speed. It will happen. Don’t give up. You took the first step by getting out of the door.

Welcome!! This is marathon, not a sprint so to say😉 You have started, HUUUUUUGE step! Just take it easy, and if you need to repeat the warm up walk multiple times before you feel comfortable enough to jog for 30 secs as AlMorr says, it is Ok! It will take you longer to complete your first week, sure, but many people have repeated it multiple times and have completed it and graduated as runners after persevering! You can do it! Just one bit more each time and you will get there! You will get fitter every time you try!!! Keep us posted, we love cheering each other 👏💪🎉🎊

Well done for doing the hardest part ...actually getting out the door! The important thing to remember is the snail is king in this programme...embrace your inner snail 🐌 it’s not about running fast it’s about stamina and just running or jogging...when I first started my warm up walks were quicker than any of my “running” sections. But keep at it you can do it! And like AlMorr said this isn’t a race just keep repeating the week until you complete it. This forum is a fantastic place for support and advice!!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and explains the pace you should be walking and jogging at........... probably slower than you were attempting.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome, and congratulations on starting. I know I've said this many times before over the years, but it took me 50 runs, not 27, before I graduated. You can do this. You have done the hardest bit of all - you got out there. Very well done. Now to do it again! The best bit is, you'll do a little bit more next time :)
