Yay! I did it! After much procrastination or what i like to call 'psyching myself up', i finally put the trainers on, eventually found a place with no people and completed the first bit. Red faced, sweaty and not as puffed out as i thought id be. Very pleased with myself! Onwards and upwards ๐Ÿ˜†

I think youre right about the roller coaster. Im actually looking forward to doing it tomorrow and have turned down a night out because i dont want to spoil my efforts in the morning! Its nice knowing someone is at the same point as me, its motivating! We'll get there!

Ive decided to class last weeks first run as a 'taster' as mon , wed , fri my best days for having time . So I did w1 r1 on Monday ( yesterday ) . How you getting on ? I'm aching today but positive to keep going .

Ive kept going, the 3rd one killed although i had more energy which is good. I even packed up the car for a week away and got up early on monday to run so i could leave early! My daughter thinks ive been swapped!

Good idea about the tester, ive completed the 1st week but im going to repeat it again til im confident. Let me know how you get on โ˜บ

Your doing brilliantly, I've noticed I'm waking up earlier and sleeping better which is a bonus as not normallya morning person ! When you doing your next run ? My next day is wed . That's funny your daughterthinks you've been swapped. This running thing seems to be having positive affect on us which is fab .

Im feeling the same, im almost jumping out of bed in the morning instead of creaking and groaning, im not wanting to sit around or go back to sleep, my diet has really improved cos i dont want to spoil it! I was up at 7 this morn to run and ive been looking forward to going, im loving the new me! Its still killing me but the satisfaction is great isnt it? ๐Ÿ˜Š

joblueeyes63โ€ข in reply toBainesy

I binged badly yesterday, also have a sweet tooth so not happy with myself this morning but im going to go today. Not sure if im going to repeat w1 or try w2, i dont need to feel like ive failed at this too. Sorry im on a downer, ive started a diary so i can pinpoint the self sabotage. Ill be happy later cos i made myself do it and youve cheered me up with your post โ˜บ

Bainesyโ€ข in reply tojoblueeyes63

You have not failed , you have started running and completed week one of the programme ... remember what a massive thing it is to even put trainers on and step out your door that very first time . Don't let a bit of a sugar binge spoil your success .

Move on to week two with me .... please .... pretty please . I'm running today , so want to hear all about your run later. Remember it's a roller coaster ... we've got to ride the ups and downs ... Now go get your positive pants on
