W1 R1: I wasn't going to start this till... - Couch to 5K
W1 R1
Well I made it through in one piece, legs a little stiff but that's only to be expected. Quite pleased i did this, been. looking at the plan the last few days and was looking forward to doing it. Now time to hit the shower and get ready for work ( which involves a 20 min brisk walk to the metro, bet I feel that today)
The first one is the worst, well done for getting started!
Welcome!
Well done for having a go, it is well worth the effort.
welcome, newbie! congratulations and keep posting!
Well done. It will never be that hard again! I was dying during my w1R1 and came close to stopping after the 5th running interval. Each run gets a little easier and I have noticed the benefit already (W3R1). Keep at it and you'll be running for 30 mins in no time.
Thanks for the welcome and encouragement
Well done on your first run. If your used to brisk walking your legs won't feel too bad at all.
I finished W1R3 yesterday. I found the W1R2 the hardest, but the W1R3 was easy. I think because on my rest day in between I went for 4km brisk walk. So I had a pure rest day in between the 2nd and 3rd and it was much easier. On to W2R1 tomorrow Good luck on the ret of the week.
Hi runcanada, like you I really struggled with w1r2 but on my first rest day I did a 30km bike ride at the gym!!! Today is my second rest day and I am doing nothing at all (maybe take the dog for a short walk tonight). Got my 3rd run tomorrow so hopefully that will be easier. Good luck with W2
