I did it!

Thanks to all your support yesterday, I did it! And yes, it felt really good afterwards (virtuous is an understatement!) I actually did an extra bit too - just felt as though I could - so I did! Knees are slightly stiff this morning, but I’m sure they’ll loosen up.

One thing I’m wondering though, is there an app which shows how far you run during the running section? Many moons ago, when I trained for a 10k, I used Map My Run - but I can’t remember if that distinguishes between running and walking.

Well done, I am sure someone on here will know all about the app you want. I am just about to start week 6 so a bit more to go yet.

Congratulations and very well done to you for your great achievement. Your right, it is an amazing feeling. I started and stopped so many times before. I still remember the feeling of graduating from 18 months ago.

Why don’t you treat yourself to a GPS watch. I bought a second hand Garmin Forerunner 15 on eBay for under £20. When I finish my run I upload the data onto Garmin Connect on my PC and then the data also gets uploaded onto Strava on my phone. The beauty of the watch is that it is accurate and you do not have to have your phone on you all the time.

You will also get bargains on eBay for a Garmin Forerunner 25 and 35. You don’t need an expensive watch to track.

Well done you ! ⭐️ I’ve just started using Strava: you could get it to time your walk and run as two separate activities, but it would be a bit of a faff. I just time the whole lot, but then my running is about the same speed as my walking even now 😄

When I go for a run I track the activity on my Garmin Forerunner 15 GPS watch and when the data is uploaded onto Strava I edit the details to say stuff like 5K Training Run or Interval Training or Parkrun etc.

Likewise when I go for a brisk walk I track it on my watch and when it’s uploaded to Strava I edit the details to say that it is a walk.

You can also join the health unlocked C25k group on Strava and see what others are up to.

Congratulations HenriettaDoodle on graduating and completing week 9 run 3 of C25K 🎓. 😊

To get your graduation badge and the word 🎓 graduate next to your username leave a message on the January graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K 🎓 🏃 😊

There is Mapmyrun and Mapmywalk, the only difference is that Mapmywalk tells you how many steps you have taken.

Thank you - but I’m a long way off completing! ‘I did it’ refers to my post from yesterday, when I was completely unmotivated and people on this forum gave me the encouragement I needed to just get out there and do it! I’m actually only on W2 R2!! 😆

Thank you for info on apps though - that’s helpful 👍🏻
