I did it - just graduated!! It’s such a joy . I’d forgotten what it felt like to be fit . I’m seriously thinking of going on to 10k . This program works . I did every run , and I’m in my 50s with under active thyroid . I little bit proud ...

You should be more than a little proud of yourself on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating from C25K, girlwithflute suggests that you play the flute.

Congratulations on graduating from C25K 🎓 🏃🏾 👍

To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username leave a message in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked July graduation home page on the right side of the page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K and graduated, now go and celebrate your wonderful achievement with a little tune 🎶 on your flute, well done 😀 🏃🏾 🎓

Thank you - I do indeed play the flute - every day !

Do you play in a orchestra or is playing the flute which is not a cheap instrument just as a hobby?, we already have a cellist who runs as well as playing the cello in a orchestra.

I play professionally- as a soloist

I do enjoy listening to Mozart's concerto for Flute and Harp and have heard his Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major, quite a few on this forum like classical music but it's not really suitable for running to.

No , I tend to run to 80s tracks

PS, I notice in a reply to CBDB that you are releasing your first CD, any idea what music you will be playing, is it popular less long pieces of music arranged for Flute or a singe Flute concerto by a well known composer such as Mozart?

Thanks for asking - actually it’s all newish music by an Irish Composer . But I might put a few more accessible tracks up on my website for those that just enjoy a good tune :)

Looking forward to seeing and listening to the music when you release it. 😊 🏃🏾 🎶

Oh well done!! 🎉👌👍🏽🏃🏿‍♀️ I also have recently graduated and am all for - as Jo W says - ‘keep on keeping on’! Also thyroid-challenged so great to see others succeeding! ( although I am way not ready - if ever - to think of 10k). Well done! Upwards and onwards. (And flute used to be also my main instrument but I don’t play anymore 😪)

I got back in the practice room after my divorce and next year I release my first CD - never too late !

Nice!!! Doubly and triply well done!!! 🎶 🎧 🎤 Music is certainly still in my life and important for my runs through playlists! It sounds like music is keeping both of us going! Here’s to music runners 🏃🏿‍♀️ 🎶

To a fellow 50s runner - I'm definitely going on to 10K! Not done 5k in 30 mins yet, and probably won't do 10k in 60 mins, but I'm excited to get on with it.
