Graduation #3: First parkrun!

Graduation #1: Finished the C25K programme running for 30 minutes (covered 4.1K)

Graduation #2: Ran 5K (kept running for 36 minutes)

Graduation #3: Ran first parkrun in Cirencester

It was cold this morning and pouring with rain so I nearly stayed at home in bed but decided that I would try it and see how I coped with the conditions. I wasn’t sure what to wear - warm clothes or waterproof ones 🤔.

It was very muddy but lots of people turned up and despite the cold rain the “atmosphere” was warm, encouraging and a little bit exciting.

I took a pin in case someone in an inflatable dinosaur outfit overtook me (only kiddin’!).

Well I ran it fine being lapped by some of the elite runners.

My lovely running shoes are filthy dirty and soaking wet - the mud even went through to my toes!

I plan on going again next week! 😁

It will become addictive. Parkrun is an amazing movement. I did my 26th Parkrun this morning. I am aiming to get to 50 Parkruns this year and get a nice Red T-Shirt from Parkrun with 50 on the back.

Well done again and enjoy coming back each week to beat your PB time.
