Graduation done!

Hi

I have completed my graduation run (week9 run3) this morning; just over 5k in 38 minutes running and 5 minutes warm up walk... Aiming now to run the whole 5k and then further and faster!

Have done the whole plan outside in the local parks or pavements, in snow, sleet rain and finally sun today! As it was my graduation run when I got to the top of the hill at about 18 minutes I did a happy pirouette even though there were dog walkers about (I inserted the hill a few weeks ago on a 'bad run' when I felt it was going too slow, couldn't make to the top without walking until this week)

I later passed a couple walking and had an encouraging comment, so I shouted back that I had 5 minutes left and then an extra 5 minutes and would complete 5k! Got a Wow, well done! shouted back!

I am going to treat myself to a couple of proper running tops/bottoms as a celebration and think I can justify calling myself a 'runner', even if an old beginner!

Train to work with still slightly red (bit less than radish, maybe)face, trying to keep my self-satisfied smile to myself...

Congrat Poppy. You need to message the fitness editor: couchto5k.healthunlocked.co... . I'm not sure how often he checks his messages though, I messaged him over a week ago for mine!

Well done to you Poppy, it is a great feeling isn't it?

I have also treated myself to some running gear - has to be done :-)

I have yet to manage a pirouette of any kind, so I am very impressed that you can do one at the top of a climb :-o

Congratulations! Brilliant that you could get up the hill and pirouette too!

It's a good week for graduations - I think that's about five of us lined up in the badges queue now? :)
