I successfully completed C25k back in 2019 and again in 2020 πββοΈ
I haven't ran since and I'm now 52 years old π
I'm kicking myself for not continuing on my fitness journey but am now looking to start again for the third time.
It's October 2024 and the clocks have just gone back, meaning the darker nights are approaching which is a perfect time for me to begin - I can be pounding the streets and no-one will see me puffing and panting along π₯΅
If anyone else is starting this week, please let me know and we can perhaps track our progress together
Previously, I recorded my thoughts after each run here on HealthUnlocked and I found it kept me accountable. So I'm going to do the same againβοΈ
I have dusted off my trainers and found an old tracksuit lurking at the back of the drawer. I've downloaded the app again and my trusty old Garmin 15 Forerunner is on charge. I'm going to attempt Week One, Run One this evening and will post on here. Wish me luck π

Hello, welcome back! I havenβt run in a year as well, and kept promising myself to take it up again. I could only manage one run last week (rain, rain and again rain, all day long, every day!). I thought Iβd try a 15 minute run, eventually ran for 20. Very, very slowly :). I badly need an accountability buddy to help me stay consistent and motivated, Iβd be happy to pair with you if you want!
Good luck with your renewed challenge! πͺπͺπͺ
I think if you can run for twenty minutes Tzushka, after a 12 month break, you're doing fantastic. Well done. It's going to take me a while to build up to that. Please keep posting on here and I'll be keen to watch your progress
Thank you! C25K gave me an incredible confidence (which I donβt usually have); Iβm confident that I can make it if I set a reasonable goal (I was aiming for 15 minutes), take it slow and stop whenever I feel like it. Iβm sure youβll get there in no time!
Hi MB I completed C25K in 2017 and have dipped into it for inspiration a number of times since to help get going again after injury. But I recently restarted from W1R1 and am in W2 now. So go you and I will meet you at W9 around Christmas π that's if I make it that far π
