I’m up to week 9 but have lost my motivation completely. Thirty minutes run just seems so difficult I keep putting it off. Anyone else found this? I started off so well

Lost my motivation
I’m lined up for 6:3 next but thanks to a lurgy bookended by storms I haven’t been able to get out for more than a week, and I know how you feel: the more you think about it the scarier it feels. But we can do this ! I’m going to have done that run by end of day Tuesday at latest. And you only have the victory week to get through ! How cool is that ?!! Go for it, and keep us posted. We’re all proud of you x
I found yesterday I was putting w9r1 off. My muscles were aching added to a deflated feeling after going to a running club last Wednesday. In the end I decided to put my gear on, drive somewhere different and just go for it. I managed it and also shaved a few seconds of my km time. I would say don’t think about, get ready and go out the door. You’ll be glad you did. Happy running 🏃♀️
Oh and you’re graduation is so close.
You're so close!
You could try running somewhere new- I always get excited when I plan a new route. If you listen to music then choose your favourite tunes, get your kit on and go,
Keep it really slow and you can do this!
So relieved to see your post. I was loving running and am now up to 28 mins running but I just can’t face the thought of going out for that long. I’m thinking of going back to 20 mins to try and get my mojo back. I think it was having some sessions off over Christmas, then illness and now snow. There always seems to be an excuse.
I wonder if there is a little bit of fear going on? I noticed in my final week that as graduation loomed nearer, I was a little worried about ‘leaving’ the safety of the guided programme. More gremlins to overcome! Of course, it could just be the time of year. It is frustrating when weather interrupts our plans and the habit of running isn’t yet bedded in sufficiently, so it does still feel an effort to get moving. But... have you ever regretted going for a run? The best way to find your mojo is to get out there and look for it, I find 🙂
