So.. I started week 8..and completed run 1 with relative ease.. But 10 says ago... My next run was planned for Monday as I couldn't do earlier due to work patterns. But I've had the flu now and haven't been this week at all... So it's going to be getting on for 2 weeks since my last run begire6i can go out again. Should I pick up where I left off or maybe go back a week.. Or just do what I can?🤔🤧

I can’t speak for everyone but I’d see how you feel. I finished week 8 on Boxing Day then came down with the lurgy. I ran W9R1 on Wednesday, after a break of two weeks. It was bloody hard work . I ran W9R2 today, much easier, enjoyable. For me two weeks was just about ok.

Usually you don’t lose any fitness for two weeks. That said a virus does sap energy and is still being fought by the immune system after symptoms disappear, so unlike a break for a holiday you may find the first run back really hard. You could just start a week 8 run in the app but in your mind it’s just a run. Slow and steady and see how you get on. If the app tells you to stop, cool, you completed the next run. If you have to stop first, cool, you didn’t have expectations and this comeback run was a practice run that boosted your strength and fitness for the next time out.

If you are fully, fully recovered..then head out.. slow and steady and just see how you feel...your body will tell you exactly what to do.

Set off with the goal of repeating your last run, but leave it open to increasing slightly if you feel up to it?
