I’m a 72unfit and got a beer belly.

Day 1 week 1 started to the 5k training yesterday. Did the walk and first run OK

Then I found that would have to miss one run to get my breath back. I carried on missing every other run. I’m glad I finished it and will try again tomorrow

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Try going slower.

Enjoy your journey.

Check out the link from IannodaTruffe ....then slow and steady is the way... rest up and head for that run again... gently!

Well, you did better than me. I was only 68 with a beer-belly. And I walked the rest of the first day after the second run. Now, 9 months later, I have a personal best of 32 minutes for 5 Km, so initial results are no indication of later success.

Dig on in there!
