4 to go

Well as some of you know I’ve decided to run 30 minutes from wk7r3. I’ve just completed wk8r2 and felt really good. I’m going to use my last 4 runs to try and cover 5k. I’ve really enjoyed this program and to think that 8 weeks ago I was only able to run for 1 min at a time and feel f@@& just shows it works well. 1 problem I find is that halfway into the run I need a poo 😳. Dose anyone else get the same. I even try to go before the run and still need to go lol. Anyway had my slimming weighing yesterday and I’m now 2.5st lighter so from being 19.06 I’m now 16.12 still a long way to go but I’m on the right track.

It's a while since this was discussed on the forum but it has certainly been a hot topic a good few times and you are in 'good' company.

It seems to be something that usually wears off as you get more used to running.

What do you mean?

That yes, other people have this problem of needing to 'go'

Funnily enough it has just come up on the HealthUnlocked Marathon forum and people are mentioning running later in the day and taking imodium before events.

Oh yeah I remember that it made more headlines then all the records she broke

Ah the famous ‘rp’ issue - I am not afflicted thank goodness, but I run-in central London at present and can always find a loo if needed. I read Vassos Alexander’s book in which he memorably described needing one in a thorn bush. As I understand it now - always carrying tissues are as much a part of your running kit as your trainers...
