Repeat week?

Hi I’m a complete running novice - always said I wouldn’t even be able to run out of a burning building but have decided to get physically and emotionally fitter. I have completed week 2 but today was not confident to start w3 so have decided to redo w2 - anyone else repeated weeks? I don’t want to give up

Don’t do it. If you completed the run, move on to the next one, don’t look back. I personally found week 3 easier than week 2. Of course, this is your running journey and you need to do what works for you, but you also need to have a little faith in yourself and the plan. It works, stick to it. Good luck, come back and tell us how you get on.

Did you do week 2 ok? If you did, then why do you feel the need to repeat it? The programme is great... you just need to believe in it and in the process.... If you repeat the week then it won’t hurt but if you do wk 3 then your confidence will improve!

I just started today and found it hard so don’t give up if uv managed week 2. I have decided just to look at it as a training programme. If I have to repeat so what ! It isn’t a race. I just hope I get to the end of it .... 9 weeks 10 weeks or 20 😅

Hi I'm a complete beginner just finished week 1 but I would have no problem repeating a week. I had some very good advice on here, it's not a race take it at your own pace you know yourself best. Well done keep going

Hi Haranna, well done you, completing week 2!! 👏👏👏 You made me laugh with your burning building phrase, I used to say I could not run to catch the bus 🚌, but your statement is even more extreme 🤣

If I were you, I would not repeat the week. As others have adviced before, if you managed to complete all the runs in W2 it means you are ready for W3. The program is wisely designed to build your strength little by little, run after run. You are still in the early weeks, but you can trust us, numerous slow snails 🐌🐌🐌🐌 plodding around before you: it works!

No reason to fear giving up: you have already done the hardest part, leaving the couch behind and you didn’t even need a fire 🔥 for that! Just your resolution 💪

Feel free to do what you believe will work best for you, but I would say: give W3R1 a try, slow and steady, you will be able to do it! Keep us posted!!!
