I've signed up to a 5K obstacle run in September with my children. We all can't wait!
However, because of one or two health conditions my fitness has declined over the last 2/3 years and my weight increased π
Rather than letting myself and my team down in the forthcoming gun run, I decided to get fit! (Well, fitTER)
By altering my diet alone I've already lost a stone this year and I downloaded the C25K app last week.
I've just completed my first week. I've done all 3 sessions of 90 second walks and 60 second runs but it's been tough. The minute of running (light jog) are the longest, hardest minutes of my life. I'm not sure now whether to repeat week 1... As I've only just managed it, am I ready for week 2?
I think I'd be deflated if the week 2 runs are longer and I couldn't complete them and might lose my determination π¬
What do you all think? Week 1 again, with the hope it gets easier or on to Week 2?
Thanks all π Xx

Keep progressing through the programme until you get to a point where you can't complete the workout. Hope that never happens, but if it does, then just repeat that week. Don't let fear of failure hold you back - chances are you won't fail.
Thousands and thousands of people have worked their way through the programme. It works.
Accept the challenges. You don't know you can't do it until you try and if you can't complete a run then you repeat it until you can, then move on. You won't make progress if you keep going back and there is no shame in repeating a run.........it just makes you stronger.
A positive attitude makes all the difference. You only fail if you give up. Believe in yourself.
Hi mrspinkrat, and well done for completing Week 1. Yes, as Tomas says, move onto Week2. Its designed to be challenging but doable and you did it.
Week 2 has less running segments (which are just a wee bit longer) and you will be able to do that too! Just take the runs nice and slow and steady a light jog.
