I started jogging again BUT something happened to my knee π It locks if I crouch or kneel and when I'm walking it feels weak and can give way...very painful! So no jogging for me for the time being π I'm absolutely gutted. Hopefully whatever this is, heals fast xx

I can sympathise, I've been off running for two weeks now due to dodgy knee and it's driving me nuts not being able to get out there! Did a little shuffle the other day, only a mile, but knee was not happy so not sure what to do now - having been icing it and resting it so looks like I might be down to the doc in the New Year!
Oh dear, what a pity. I can sympathise having been under physio this year due to tendonitis. Similar to you my ankle would just give way and was weak especially after sitting down for a while. My advice would be to see a doctor asap so you can get correct treatment.
Oh bless you βΉ Has the physio helped? I'm being reffered for an MRI as the doctor thinks it may be cartlidge issues, but I think its more tendon related as I get sharp pains down my shin too π
Hi Lauren - I had similar knee issues (locking and giving way) after twisting it and also falling over on ice! Doh! Issues persisted so I went to see a physio who gave me knee strengthening exercises to do - mainly quad strengthening. The locking stopped but I suffered from the giving way for over a year and had mri scans etc. There was not much obviously wrong and around this time I started running c25k. That was nov 2017 and since completing the programme I had no more issues. Iβve now ran over 1500km since then. So the good news is that I feel running has strengthened my knees and legs so that kneecap etc tracks correctly and stops locking etc. I hope you recover well, but suggest you get some advice from a health professional to check your knee over.
