I'm staying with a friend who uses the gym, so we headed down there together and I got my first go on a treadmill. I set a slight incline after reading comments on here. I set it at 5 (5 what? There was nothing to tell me what units this measurement was in).
I was aiming for 5.5 to 6 km, but only made 5km including 2 parts where I walked. It was too hot even in the gym. I just didn't have any more in me. I was sweating profusely and was happy to get back for a shower. Also needed a power knap in the afternoon.
Finally got to go buy some Capri length leggings for running in the Aussie heat. Hopefully will try them out Boxing Day or 27th with another beach side run.
Found the treadmill a bit boring. Couldn't see the TV well enough to read the subtitles as hadn't got my glasses with me and anyway wasn't confident that I would stay in the right area of the treadmill and not fall off the back of it. Will be really happy to go back to running outside and having things to look at 🙃
