I am now at the end of my C25K adventure, having completed the 3rd run of week 9 this evening. It's had highs, hardly any lows, and I've appreciated all the support and the friendly comments and advice I've had from other runners on here, sharing their experiences. I think that's been one of the highlights, finding this online community.
So, the end of the C25K programme, but only the very start of a new hobby - running! A few weeks of consolidation, than serious thought to the next challenge: I have my eye on a 10k scheduled for 5 May 2019.
Whichever week you are on, however much you may wonder if you will make it through to graduation, trust the programme, keep coming back to this forum for support, encouragement and advice and, most of all, believe in yourself. If I can do it, so can you!

I bought 7 tiny truckles yesterday as part of Christmas gift hampers I'm making up. I doubt that all 7 will make it to their original destination - I suspect several of them will end up in my tum, probably very shortly after tomorrow's Park Run!
Thank you, Nita! Yes, Park Run tomorrow - a bit disappointed that I had a text from my sister-in-law saying, 'Your brother says he'll see you at the finish line'. I thought he would want to run with me for encouragement, seeing as he's been banging on about my unhealthy lifestyle/lack of fitness/doing Park Run for years and years, but hey ho, I shall be running it with my next-door neighbour - it will be her graduation run and she's been great, coming out with me on my evening runs to keep me company - so I'm glad I'll be there for her final run. We will share our success and have a great run!
Thank you! I don't think he's intimidated - he's done around 200 Park Runs and his best time is around 20 minutes. He's climbed mountains on 3 continents and recently done the London to Paris cycle race, plays tennis every week ... He has nothing to fear from me in the fitness stakes! But at least he won't be able to moan at me for 'never getting any exercise' any more!
LOLOL - the good genes run in my Mum's side of the family (which my brother has inherited). The bad genes (heart disease!) run in my Dad's side - which I have inherited. So it's easy for my brother to be fit. It's more of an achievement for me. I shall point that out to him tomorrow!
Congratulations. I wish I could see your brother’s face this weekend!!! Join bridge to 10k on here too if you haven’t already. Celebrate well today and enjoy that special parkrun, consolidation and the journey to that 10k.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing his face tomorrow, too! Although he sent a casual, 'See you at the finish line' message via his wife yesterday, so he may not actually see the running part of it! But he will be very surprised when I thunder over the line around 40-45 minutes. He's expecting around an hour, so let's hope he doesn't wander off to get a coffee and miss the whole thing!
