I've completed the C25K plan! I've stuck at it and achieved my goal when I never thought I could.
I always told myself I wasn't a runner, no stamina. My confidence and self esteem has been so low for so long and now at last I'm beginning to think there are doors opening for me. This is largely down to the community on here, the encouragement and support has been awesome! Inspiring too!
Everyone has difficulties to overcome and reading the blogs about the obstacles some of you have had to face, physical health problems, confidence issues, bereavement, social anxiety and still you have taken them head on and achieved your goals. This has been a major motivator to me.
This sounds really cheesy but at the end of one of my hardest runs I saw the most vibrant rainbow I have ever seen and I thought "yes I'm going to reach my pot of gold" Sorry that's really bad isn't it!
This is the first step for me now, parkruns, Race for life, 10k, half marathon, marathon! Bring it on! I'm even thinking about getting a bike! Good luck to everyone starting out on this and all I can say is if I can do it anyone can!

What an inspiring post too. Do make sure to come back and tell us how you're getting on post-graduation - it sounds as if you will be doing plenty of running!
Congratulations!! Great feeling isn't it?! I love the image of the pot of gold - you have achieved something 'priceless' - fitness and confidence (doubly cheesy , but why not?!)
Thankyou Tapira! It's wonderful! I agree, a bit of cheese doesn't do any harm!
Hi Gridlet ... and that was fantastic and not at all cheesey to me! We see signs along the way all the time ... most of the time we don't notice ... maybe now you are seeing that you can do great things ... just follow the signposts ... or in your case ... The Rainbow!
Power to you ... there is so much misery around that it is so refreshing to read a post so full of possitivity and inspiration!
Do stay in touch with the forum as it is great to see how you can progress after starting this great program. Way to go Girl!
Thankyou so much Powerhealer! I agree, we don't always see the signs even when they're staring us in the face! Perhaps we have to be more open and receptive, I know I do!
