Despite being on day 3 of streaming nose, blocked ears and gummy eyes, I didn't want to get even further behind on my schedule, so I went out for a run this evening. I had been thinking that I wouldn't beat myself up if I couldn't make the full 28 minutes, being under the weather, but I read about a small study in America with runners who had colds. Turns out that a case of the common cold in an otherwise healthy person does not negatively impact their running! So, I went out feeling confident I'd manage the run and I did! Not only that, I ran slightly further, so I'm looking forward to my next run, minus the head cold, to see if I can improve some more.
