I seem to have hit a wall at 37mins jogging, I just couldn’t manage another step. Legs good, breathing ok but i just ran out of whatever it is that keeps you going.
Distance 4.8km (inc warm up) so went a little faster than post-grad run 1.

I had the same problem at 38 mins, feeling as though "nothing left in the tank". I went back to c25k week 6 run2 principle but ran 23 mins, walked 2 mins, ran 20 mins. Then went to 25 mins, run 2 mins walk, run 20. I found that 40 mins nonstop was then achievable, but only covering about 4.7k though. I then ran on to get to 5k which took about 43 mins. Now I do 5k nonstop and working on getting faster. Obviously you should try intervals that you feel you can do, repeat as necessary and don't risk injury by trying to much too soon.
Thanks for that, it’s very interesting that we both hit the 37/38min wall. I’ll try non-stop runs twice more this week and then give the ‘week 6’ theory a go if I can’t improve ... the thought of that alone may spur me on as the first 2 sessions of W6 were the worst ever, sheer mental and physical torture! 😱
