My local Park Run is doing a run on Christmas Day, I'm trying to convince hubby to do it with me, never thought i'd see the day when I'd be looking forward to running on not just Christmas Day but any other day that i go out.
I've definitely caught the snail running bug
Do it, do it, do It! I did a parkrun on Christmas Day for the first time last year, it’s great, such a brilliant way to start the day, then you can eat, drink and be merry without a guilty conscience! 😂🏃♀️Will be doing it again this year.🎄🎅 don’t forget the essential Santa hat!
Look out for the New Year’s Day doubles too - the one time you can get two parkrun credits in one day 👍🏃♀️

Yes we are hosting family this Christmas and I have warned them that, so long as it’s not pouring, that we want to do parkrun on the day too. I couldn’t even run last Christmas! 🎅🏻🤶🏃♀️🏃♂️
Our daughter came with us last year....we got a nice photo of all three of us together afterwards and sent it to the rest of the the family.....with a follow up photo later of us holding various bottles of booze......🍾🥂🍸🍻😂.....which we’re full at the time......hic.....🤪

I can only assume they’re also doing January 1st! So that’s 4 parkruns in 10 days... maybe more as there’s the chance to run more than one on New Years 😂😂😂😂
i'm heading to Scotland for New Year and the local one to where i'm going is doing on Christmas day but not New Years Day.

Thanks for mentioning this I hadn’t thought about it. And whilst my local one isn’t on the list for Christmas one not too far away is so I may make it a ‘travelling’ Christmas and try for 4 different locations over the 10 day period. A great idea
