On the 5th day of Christmas my "true love" asked AlMorr to run a 5K, which I did.
5th Day of Christmas : On the 5th day of... - Couch to 5K
5th Day of Christmas
Well done you...3 minutes speedier than I! Although, in my defence, I have run every day of December...two days to go!
Well done on that marcathon, or whatever you call it, you are running it with Flick, or at least virtually, only a few days to go.
I enjoyed my run today, my "true love" has asked me to run a 10K on the 10th day of Christmas which is this coming Friday.
December Marcothon..running every day in December 5K or 25 minutes minimum..
Fantastic!! I've done 5k today, 😁I've not been running 9 days and have been feeling like a caged lion!
No longer a caged lion, you got out there and ran a 5K, that is the last run for me this year, I am going to run a 10K this coming Friday which is the 10th day of Christmas 🤶 🎄
Me too. My first run since 20th December. 😱 I felt like a novice, but managed it in 32.03 mins. I feel so much better for getting out 😁
Great work. I mean, not just for doing 5k, but just getting out there in the first place! Looks like a nice route you've got there too!
There are minor variations of that route,
it's around Broadwood Loch in Cumbernauld which is about 12 miles north east of Glasgow, I can go through the woods by extending the route a bit or keep to the tar macadam paths as I did today, the path through the woods at the moment are just a big mud bath.
Well done, blustery out today. Great time. my 10k ended up 8k then power walking against the wind to get home.
As I have been saying above and for the last couple of weeks I intend to keep my runs a little Christmassy based on the 12 Days of Christmas tune, so on the 5th Day of Christmas my "True love" (whoever she is) asked me to run a 5K which I ran today, "she" has asked me to run a 10K on the 10th day of Christmas which is this coming Friday. 😊
Great running AlMorr. Hope you enjoyed your 5k . You picked a great day for it. You would never know it was December as it's 9 or 10 degrees. 😊
I was wearing my lightest jogging trousers, my lightest jumper and my running belt with water and a running cap, on Friday which is the day I hope to run my 5th 10K I just might be wearing a Vitality 5K Parkrun T shirt which I ordered yesterday, they said it would be delivered to me this coming Tuesday.
Well done that’s the 5th day of Christmas done and dusted
Yes, I now have the 10K to run on the 10th day of Christmas which is this coming Friday, if anyone wants to run with me virtually I will begin the run around 9am, not 1pm as it was today, this morning I went a short 4K walk but actually ran a little as well as a warm up to the one o'clock run.
Brilliant! Thats a great time Alan. 👍 😀
Thank you lexi6 for congratulating me for the 5K run I ran yesterday, note the time for New Year's Eve and day this week.
At 11am UK time on Tuesday the 31st December it is Midnight Wednesday the 1st January 2020 in New Zealand
I ll try and be the first person to wish you a very happy New Year at 11am UK time.
Thanks Alan, I’m sure too be awake. 😀 A neighbour stockpiles fireworks from Guy Fawkes! Wish we had our musical neighbours back instead they used to play the bagpipes every New Year.
I ran 5k yesterday but it took me 38 mins! First run in a week after too much cheesecake and wine, but it felt good.
May I wish you a very Happy New Year for 2020, I hope you have many happy days running, best wishes to all your family, from Alan in Scotland
Thank you so much Alan, the fireworks are going off outside. Here’s to many more running days for us all. Happy New Year 🎉
