W9R1 - Great Run

Well, i throughly enjoyed that run! My favourite since w5r3 i think.

I've also accidentally made a discovery, it turns out that most of my ankle and knee niggles were being caused by... my shoes being laced too tightly 😂

I did have a bit of a weird bit right at the end of the warm up walk when my subconcious tried to convince me that me walking around in shorts in the cold and dark was ridiculous, i couldn't run even five minutes, and I should get back to my nice warm couch right away - it was an absolute pleasure to stomp that thought down.

Onwards to the rest of the week!

45F was scientifically argued as perfect running weather and it’s predicted 55 this week... I may need to dig out my vest.

😂 I haven't actually worn anything except shorts and tshirt yet. I did buy a long sleeved top from decathlon, but due to not being used to sportswear sizing, ended up looking like a trussed up joint of beef when i put it on.

I have long sleeved tops and even ran in one... not ready to go to “man tights” yet😂

It's great when an experiment goes well!

I'm sure you will fly through week 9.

Have you got any postgrad plans?

I think we're going to stick with 30 mins up until xmas to ger eveeything bedded in, then maybe switch over to one shorter interval, one 5k, and one long slow one. No rush though, really starting to enjoy the running at the mo!
