#Couchto5k IN THE BAG! I've ACTUALLY done it! I'm a graduate! From non runner to someone who can now run 30mins and near enough hit 5km!
I ran my fastest yet this evening 4.94km in 30m51s. Feel much stronger physically and mentally. Just kept pushing and pushing. Reminding myself the benefits far outweigh the temporary pain.
I actually enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong I worked hard for it. The lungs could feel it in the cold. All I kept thinking was I'm not letting you all down by not finishing this course..And didn't want to let myself down.
Without the online community supporting, advising, helping me I wouldn't have done this with just listening to the Jo Whiley podcasts.
What next? I've already had offers from pple to go running together on the local park run.
If you want to lose a load of weight, be fitter in mind and body and get this extraordinary after glow/highs. I would highly recommend doing #couchto5k.
It has, without sounding dramatic, been a lifesaver in many ways and kept me on the straight and narrow over the passed few months where I've really needed it.
If I can do this. ANYONE can.
Thank you to everyone. This isn't the end of the road. I will keep going. Will let you know what I'll be aiming for next.
Congratulations Chris. No way you’d ever let anyone down... from day one in here you’d got everything it takes. Celebrate this 🍻. Enjoy those next runs, and judging by our proximity we will run that parkrun together and it will be an honour.
Congratulations on completing C25K with week 9 run 3.
