I did it. I’ve been worried about my pace so ran a little faster the first 5 min run and it wasn’t pleasant. The 8 min was easier and the last 5 I ran a couple more minutes after a couple minutes walk. I’m starting to believe I can actually do this. And as today I’ve been signed up for a 5K two day before a Christmas it’s looking like I need to keep pushing on and doing my best. Tonight was my first run in the rain and although I couldn’t see anything it was still good and I am definitely a run convert.

Well done! Don't worry about pace, only one more then it's all running! So keep it slow and steady and you'll nail it

Well done but keep at an easy conversational pace, which will keep injury risk minimal.

Well done. Build endurance with slow running... pace comes after that... that 5k event is to be enjoyed and it’ll be more fun if you allow endurance to build rather than pushing speed. Enjoy the next run.
