I’m back after more rest time off! This time tight quads so had sports massage ..ouch and have some extra stretches to do. So now back on the road to trying to consolidate 😁 My aim is to get to 5km by my year anniversary- 2nd Jan ... so not aiming high but with my injury history I can’t ! Also aim to do a park run before then too. Happy running everyone x
Little run : I’m back after more rest time off... - Couch to 5K
Little run
I love the photo CatMo...running into the sunrise!
Glad to hear you are back to some steady running again. Have you seen the strength exercises that Rfc has put in the pinned posts. Some good ones in there too.
Happy running!😊 xx
Well done!
I love your running route!!! <3
Keep it slow, keep it steady, and have fun!
Thanks IgaT, wasn’t far, but it’s a start. How’s your knee?
The distance doesn't matter. The most important is that you were out there running. Slow and steady, and you will get to 5K.
My knee is good Tomorrow, I'll take it with me for a run and see how it will go.
Hi CatMo13, What a lovely photo! I do hope that your running is continuing well.
Thank you 61and trying , yes I finally feel like I’m getting somewhere and am building up to 30 mins running 😊 three times a week. Back to proper winter running now with three layers on and a buff and gloves 😄 Hope all is well with your running too ?
Hi since my first ever 10km on Monday I've had a three day break from any running. Mainly to keep to Mon, Wed, Fri. I plan to run today and am hoping to take part in my second Parkrun on Sat December 1st. I have no idea how I shall compare to my first Parkrun back in mid August. We all have our own running journey to develop while handling all that our life entails and injuries that come our way. All the best with re-reaching 5k by your 1 year birthday! Being called, in haste!
Thank you! I’ve just been inspired by your first park run post ... I only went and printed out my bar code 😄 I’m going to aim for 22nd Dec, so now for the build up 😊 Massive congratulations on your first 10km, you really are doing so well !
H i again, Aw! That is touching that my first Parkrun post inspired you. I do hope you take part on the 22nd as I do think it is good for us to things outside our normal comfort zone. If you like it, you'll take part again and if you don't you'll at least you'll know what they are like. I have realised that my runs are all on uneven terrain, often up and down hills, over stiles, through gates and so not easy for getting into one's stride. At the Parkrun, if I remember correctly, it was much easier running. I think there was still 100m or so of elevation gain, but gentle compared to my usual routes. I could run along our main road, but tried it once and it is not for me. Car noise and nowhere near the scenery that I love. So enjoy your build up to the 22nd! Happy and injury free running to you!
