Not prepared at all, a walk uphill seemed like a good idea, My back pinged at lunch time but by 6pm only an ache left
It’s breezy and sunny so up we went, We ran some and walked some then turned at the top and hop skipped and jumped over tree roots back to the bottom, I’ve come to realise as steep as it is that hill will build strength and stamina so my go to place on rest days
Happy safe running all
The picture is from a little way up

Well done. This is great practice too so that nothing can phase you moving forward. Along with a headwind, hills are an obstacle that you always feel great when you've overcome.
Running down again through woods scattered with bluebells was magic and i’ve decided i need to be able to slowly run right to the top within a month so my challenge is on 😀
Bluebells are beautiful aren't they? We have daffodils on our hill just at the side of the garden but the Bluebells aren't out yet - it's still too cold up here 😨 I love it when they're out together - the contrast is lovely.
I haven't seen the result of your last post regarding the half marathon but I'm assuming you've picked up the gauntlet and the uphill run is the start of your training? 👏👏
Hi, it’s the start of my pre half marathon thinking, i’ve given myself a month to see if i can increase speed enough to be able to get that far in the time, part of that is going to be marching up that hill on my rest days to strengthen my legs and lungs, 14 weeks without smoking has made a difference but my little legs still need to speed up some
