So when i started this, i wasn't fit at all, but I was far fitter than my significant other, who's done the whole thing alongside me. As a consequence, i've been more than happy to let her set the pace.
Today though, after about 5 minutes, I was feeling okay, but sweating more than usual. After about 14 mins, at halfway, i realised we were going a bit faster than usual. At five mins to go, she upped the pace again, and all five foot four of her accelerated into the distance. At one minute, she sped up again, leaving me having to break into a near sprint not to fall too far behind. I'm very much proud of her.
