Week 6 has been a trying one the previous 2 runs have been hard and I've struggled to get into my pace.
So I was meant to run tomorrow but a last minute change gave time tonight. I wasn't feeling particularly in the mood but it was a clear night and I thought get your arse into gear if I don't finish it I've got time through the week.
Very slow deliberate start and all's going well first 10 I could feel a bit of tightness in my legs and the shin splints made a brief appearance. Half time bell and i was feeling good I actually got annoyed when Jo interrupted my music to tell.me I had 5 minutes left (normally I'm eternally grateful to hear her speak) last five were really good and I put a bit of speed into it then my time was up felt I could last another minute maybe more.
That stupid big grin appeared again for the last 10 minutes of the run and it's bizarre but it was my best run of the 3 and for.me far easier than W5 R3 for 20 minutes which felt like it climbed Everest.
I'm off to undo the good work with a couple cold ones.
