My last few runs have been uncomfortable, in my head mentally and with my effort. It seems to me that I'm still finding my way since I graduated. Doing Couch to 5k was a straight forward plan, set out for you, planned, I knew where I was each time and what was required. Now I feel out of sorts, I'm not sure what I'm doing. I tried running with my coach a few times, repeating week 9, but I knew it was now time to let her go.
I like this Nike app, I like the choice of runs, depending on how I feel, how long I want to go out for. Today I chose 25 minutes, my last run was 20 minutes. I'm glad I went longer this time, I know I'm capable of it, and I did it. I like how it tracks your pace and distance, although I only covered 2.3k which really isnt very far is it, but there is something nice about seeing the stats and wanting to compare to previous runs.
I'm realising the success of completing couch to 5k was just the start and to continue I have to keep trying and I know I personally need something to motivate me otherwise little miss self doubt creeps back in, telling me all the negative stuff again.
So onwards with my new app, 30 minutes will be my next run because I know I can do that cant I. I need to regain my confidence and continue my journey.
Btw is it ok I still post in here?

Well done on getting out there despite the weather!! I’ve heard great things about the Nike app so think it’s a wise choice to use that to keep you motivated ☺️ Definitely keep posting about your runs as it will help anybody starting out to see that the couch to 5k process works! Have a good weekend ✨
Hello runners!!! Congratulations for graduating C25K, and a huge, warm welcome t...
There will be some good ideas here. I think a lot of us struggle a bit when we lose the structure. Keep at it, you'll find your happy running schedule 😍
Eek link didn't work, but you'll see this on pinned posts!!!
Thank you. Yes I think the euphoria of graduating and the reality that actually at times it's still a struggle has hit me. I like the Nike app so far so will persevere 😊
And good to hear you will keep going but yes, I can be tricky without a set plan !
I found that also , but hopefully you will find enough on the app to keep you motivated , you will still continue to improve and so will the enjoyment !
I certainly hope you will keep posting here !
A lot of us do , and it can be a good motivation to those just starting !
You can of course also join the bridge to 10k forum ?
Pop your head in and say hello 😁
Whatever you do , carry on running and always remember why you started 😁👍
I think it surprised me after graduation how hard I suddenly found it. I think it is the structure. I've enjoyed the app so far I like how you can choose your run, time/distance really hope it keeps me motivated 🤞 certainly feeling more positive now
