Well done. I tend to just start of cold as I know I warm up quickly!! Layers are good tho and breathability stuff if poss. Good luck
I didn’t wear anything extra, started off cold. After a very short time I didn’t notice the cold, too busy trying to remember to breathe, stand up straight, shoulders back and chest out..... 😂😂🤣🤣
Off to a good start!
I feel the cold too, but I find if I do a 5-10 minute warm up before I leave the house it warms me up enough that I'm not tempted to overdress .
But at least with layers you can strip off if needed 😊
The other day on my cooldown a wrapped up dog walker asked if I knew something he didn’t... I was in sunglasses, shorts and t-shirt 😂
Well done getting that first run under your belt it’s a mammoth achievement. I think I read somewhere that you should dress for 10 degrees warmer than the weather outside. You start off feeling cold but warm up swiftly.
Well...alarm set for 545am...t shirt thin hoody thin running reflective jacket...will see what happens. I'm not a morning person but can run tomo afternoon if all else fails!!
My alarm is set for 5.30 tomorrow for W1R2. Good luck, we can do this 😊
That sounds about right to me. How did the run go?
I woke up coughing my lungs out, high temp and sore throat. I’m dozing myself up today and fingers crossed I can go tomorrow. I was gutted, but knew the way I feel I’d have struggled with even the brisk walk. 😢😢
Hey Shelly! I’m so sorry to hear that!! Hope you feel better soon. Best wait until your chest clears fully and get some rest on the IC (injury couch). The run will be waiting for you when you are fighting fit. As a rule of thumb if you have a head cold it’s fine to run, as soon as it hits your chest the advice is always to stop until it clears. Hope you feel better soon 🤞🤞🤞
