Bummed 😭

First time I didn't complete my run. Been running on the treadmill most of the time and I just couldn't motivate myself to keep going outside today. Managed 13 minutes before I stopped. I don't want to say the F word but I really let myself down. It happens though, it can't all be plain sailing! Will attack this run again in a few days!

How did you let yourself down? You got your butt out there and ran. You got 13 minutes more running in the bank, the legs and lungs will benefit, the fitness will rise, and you’ll be stronger next time out. You didn’t get the run you wanted, but you got a run, and it counts, they all do, that’s what matters... we aren’t here looking to defend Sir Mo’s medals for team GB in 2020, we are here to become fit and healthy... so, good job!

You do... just enjoy how great it is to be fitter, to be able to run even 5 minutes... and some days it can become 60 in time. Be kind to yourself, lower the bar a little, love yourself a little, celebrate the small things, the big things actually tend to work themselves out better then.

I felt the same way at the start. At least you got out there. 13 mins is better than 0 minutes. Don't beat yourself up about it everyone has good and bad days.

Put it down to experience and get out there again next run day. It seems hard to start but trust me, little by little it gets easier and before you know it you will be running like a champ. Just follow the program. Keep on running.

Yesterday I put my running clothes on in the morning, wore them all day, took them off at night, put my pyjamas on and went to bed. Didn't manage to persuade myself out of the door at all! So your run was a MAJOR SUCCESS by comparison because at least it happened. In fact you lapped everyone who didn't run... :)

You did 13 minutes, thats a mile or over. Well done you. Any running is better than no running. Some days it just doesnt go to plan. But hey thats life. You got out and did something. X
