Around 60 minutes ago I was sitting on my couch and I was very comfy indeed. I knew it was time to go for my second run but I caught myself thinking I could do it tomorrow! Then I forced myself to get up and get out :) second run is now done and dusted but I found it just as hard as my first run - I find it hard to believe that in just a few days I will be able to increase my running time to 90s. Well for the time being I will pat myself on the back for completing today's challenge. Will tackle the increase in running time next week - I will see how it goes.

  • I am in week 2 & struggling with a cold.i also cant believe that next week i will be running for longer as i struggle to run for 90 seconds!!!

  • The cold really won't be helping. When that's gone it will get a bit easier. You will surprise yourself every week.

  • That's how I felt through most of the programme, not believing I could do more than I already was. But every week I did, sometimes only just. But I always felt great the first time I ran for however many minutes. Take it one week at a time and you will do it.

  • No reason why you shouldn't. Only thing that will prevent you succeeding is if you give up. Since any run you didn't manage is a practise run and you just go again till you manage you can't fail at this, except by giving up.

    Week 2 running is only one minute longer than week 1 running.....

    I am currently re-doing the programme with a friend who didn't want to run alone. We started week 2 this morning and she was worried just like you but we did each run slowly and apart from the fact that the 2 minute walking break passes in the wink of an eye each run was completed.

    Don't panic about future weeks, just complete each run as it happens, and you will be able to run for further and longer.

  • Ive just started too and on Thursday after not being able to complete the 8 60 second runs i wondered how I was going to ever get through the program but after reading lots of tips and advice on here I have just completed all 8 runs...a change almost overnight!

  • Well done. I was there only a few weeks ago and I graduated today. Trust the plan and believe that you can do it because a lot of it is those gremlins telling you that you can't. Xx
