So in may I joined SlimmingWorld and lost almost 3 stone through diet and walking between 7 and 10 miles per night however as the nights have now got short I decided to up my game and try running, I’ve just completed run 1 week 2 and am feeling very pleased with myself so far. I’m loving the couch to 5K app and have just found this forum and love the encouragement you give each other

Firstly, a massive well done for both that weight loss and finding enough time to do all those miles per night!
Secondly, well to c25k, it's awesome, and so are the people on here, and you're now one of them!
Finally, keep up the great & disciplined work, with your attitude, you really have got this! 👍

Welcome.
2 congratulations for you... first on the weight loss and second in getting those first 2 runs done, the first one especially... its tough to get the pace right early on. The walking will have your base fitness up nicely and it helps to a good extent. In a handful of weeks you’ll really feel the strength kicking in too.
One little aside... running builds a little muscle, so your weight loss may stall a little. If you don’t do this already, measure yourself... sometimes the weight plateaus, but inches still go as the fat goes and smaller but heavier muscles build.
Enjoy your journey. Post here lots, as you’ve seen it’s very supportive and there’s a lot of knowledge to tap into.
