It took slightly longer than 9 weeks, for various reasons, but me and my little man did it! 30 minutes continuous running ... who would have thought it!
Back in week one, I couldn't envisage getting to the end of this magical program but we stuck at and persevered through burning lungs and aching legs to get to where we are today. Only managing just over 3k but hey, it's better than sitting at home watching TV!
Going on 5k practice runs next week so we WILL run 5k in whatever time it ends up being, then celebration 5k on Saturday 10/11 (if I can find a sitter!!)
100% in cloud 9 right now!
For anyone doubting whether you can do it or not... you so totally can! If I can do it, anyone can. Just trust the program and you'll make it!

Congratulations to you and the little man. The 5k will come, but the 30 minutes changes your life and health more... thatβs the most important bits. Enjoy that celebration run when it comes, and tonightβs celebration too.

It's great when people post that they've completed c25k and say they couldn't have imagined it when running week 1 it gives me more confidence in my ability to reach the end π π π
The program is amaZing! I hated running and only gave this a go because a friend strongly felt that I would enjoy it so I figured, why not...
Week one, I literally thought there is no way I can do this, 1 minute runs were going to be the death of me, but I stuck at it and listened to the instructions, slowed down if I needed to and sped up if I could... run one was always the toughest of the three, each week, but then run two was always better and run 3 was like an epiphany that I can actually do what is being asked of me.
It's such an amazing feeling! 10 weeks ago it felt utterly impossible but, with grit and determination, it is totally achievable for everybody. Speed and distance doesn't matter, continuous running time is what's important. The rest, I'm sure, will come in time.
