Another go!

Another attempt at the programme. I had a stroke 4yrs ago and have had a few abortive gos. I was a 1.40 half marathon runner pre- stroke- this always feels hopelessly slow and I give up. Determined this time!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

We all have to accept that as we get older and the ravages of time impact on our bodies, that we can no longer perform as we did in our pomp. You may never recreate your former running glories, but you can still become a fit runner again, with all the physical and mental health benefits that come with that.

Just take it easy and know that slow and steady progress can take you back to the joys of running.

Enjoy your journey.

Aw good luck this time. Be kind to yourself. It takes some guts to get back out there after what you’ve been through. Slow or fast I think you are an inspiration.
