Hi all ,it's some years since I posted on here .for reasons I can't remember I gradually stopped running , I have graduated c25k 3 times . Stopped started due to injuries but haven't been a couch potato . I have been doing hiking in peak district and have recently done the yorkshire 3 peaks . I don't know why but I'm starting the programme again today .that will be third time . Anyway I'm back so wish me luck , I'm not getting any younger (59)

Welcome back Rockette.

Continuing to post on this forum is the best way to keep up the habit. You dare not lapse, or...................... somebody will have something to say about it.

Good luck.

A mere youngster then !

Hi and welcome back. Lovely hiking in the Peak District, just a short way from me, and that will really help with your stamina for the runs:)

Slow and steady does it... a smile on your face and lightness in your legs! :) Keep posting too for some great motivation and support :)

Well hellllloooooo again! I've never stopped a) because I have escaped injury and b) because wonderful though the programme is, I'm not sure I'd have the guts to do it again! So hats off to you.

I am sure that IannodaTruffe is right about maintaining a connection with the forum being important too.

It sounds as though there is something about running that you like but maybe this time round there's something you can do about making it more sustainable so you are not dealing with injuries so often. Worth seeing a sports therapist, checking out shoes and certainly taking it really gently.

Hello Rockette and welcome back. I'm still here as I'm too nosey and just love to see what everyone is up to 🙂 but this forum keeps me sane when I can't run and entertained/inspired when I can.

Enjoy the programme again and now you're back here, keep posting.

I did halves! No full Mara yet but I am in training now 🏃‍♀️

I did get hurt myself but am back now and running regularly

Just gradually building up distance, and going nice and steady would be my advice 🙂 It should be fun

Hi Rockette and welcome back! The great thing about starting again is that you know you can do it, unlike the first time when I think we all had doubts :) You will soon be out there enjoying yourself again but take it steadily so you don't get injured again. Keep posting on here for the support - you know it works! Happy running :)
