It’s another howling gale out there ! Supposed to be going down later, apparently, so I may still get out later 🙄

Don't get blown away!

Just to annoy you, here in Wiltshire we have blue skies and the faintest hint of a breeze!

It’ll be your turn soon enough 😄

Hopefully you can find a half hour window to get the job done.

May be by torch light, but if not today I’ll get it in tomorrow ! Early dark up here now, and clocks go back this Sunday 🙄

Have the wind at your back, it'll help 😉

Hi ButtercupKid, I hope things are go well for you, don't let the wind stop you from running, by the weekend it's going to be a bit cold, so get outside and get running on whatever week you are doing on C25K, I think you are on week 2 or 3 if I am not mistaken. 🚶🏃🏆😊

I love your optimism, AlMorr ! Eighth go at week 1, in fact. All my possible routes run through elderly woods, so for safety reasons, if it’s a gale I don’t go.

I had a branch come down when I was running in the woods a few weeks ago. It was close enough to scare me, so I don't blame you for not risking it. Live to run another day!

My thoughts exactly. Most of the trees here are still carrying a lot of leaves, and that’s when you’re most likely to get stuff coming down. Once they’re bare the wind will filter through. Then I’ll be safe, if frozen !

Oh no, too bad BK! It’s horrible running when it’s really windy, so hopefully it’ll subside for you later on. 🤞🤞

I don’t mind the wind - it’s the falling trees that worry me ! 😄

Yes that might ruin your run somewhat!

Certainly make it more challenging !😄

Do you live in the North of Scotland,? It has been blowing a gale there for the last few days and the Met Office forecast strong north winds with snow showers at the end of the week.

Mother’s Little Comfort, aren’t you AlMorr ?!! I’m in NE Scotland and the wind only came up this morning, but it hasn’t dropped at all since. I can cope with rain or snow, but I don’t trust the trees. A dozen or so came down locally in the last gale and much as I want to get on, I won’t risk it.

Yes I am AlMorr BCK, (Al short for Alan and Morr short for Morrison.)

You are very wise in not going out in very windy conditions if there is the risk of falling trees coming down,

I don’t know if it counts as a run if you’re flying ?!! I don’t mind going to fly a kite but I’d rather not be one 😆
