Glorious day for a run, the sun was shining, it was chilly but too chilly. Cambridge town centre was pretty much empty, apart from a Japanese tour guide who stepped out in front of me to ask directions! I don't often go into the centre to run, too crowded, so today was a lovely opportunity. My favourite moment was seeing a very small girl with a very big smile on a very shiny new bike!
Merry Christmas C25K-ers one and all, and happy running! XXX

WOW an empty city centre that is a rarity for Cambridge looking very err christmassy there Curly Merry Chrustmas
Merry Christmas curly, glad you had a good un. I avoid roads, towns etc but after talking to my brothers today (they are serious runners) I might break out to new pastures in the new year - up to now I've alway run in the same safe area.. still sticking to 5k..
It is quite a change for me after completing C25K in the country on small roads, but Cambridge has lots of cycle paths and pedestrianised areas, parks and commons, and the speed limit is 20 MPH in many places now. The worst thing is the people on foot! I ran past a bus shelter the other day just as the bus was arriving, a lady stood up and these days I run so fast (lol) that I almost couldn't stop...I find as well that whatever side I go to pass people on they will subconsciuosly wander over that way...
