Run first, do stuff later (it will still be there). Easier to avoid the excuses that way round.
It's why I run in the mornings. I used to tell myself I would run when I got back from work - I'd even put my stuff out to do it - but, you get back, you check the post, an email or two, you know the things that line up to distract. I finally started running by getting out of bed, into my kit and out of the door before I had started to think. It worked. Mornings are still best for me for the same reasons.
On the other hand, other people might have self discipline, something that I clearly have a desperate deficiency in.
Run first, run first! Make running the priority. And I love that quote – LOVE IT! I run in the mornings when my willpower is stronger and the excuses have no time to form...
Your day sounds like mine, should have run this morning but had too many things to do so I missed out. Looks like my working day tomorrow is now a night shift so I could make my run tomorrow morning!! I hope you got out for your run.
Woohoo! You're great, you lot. I came home from work, glanced at the couch, glanced at the dinner waiting for me but couldn't face coming on here and admitting I didn't go (!) so off I went. Marthadog and I did a 4.6km loop round the streets of Perth. And, inevitably and predictably, I feel good. Thank you.
