Unfortunately I stopped again at week 5. (I'm a teacher and went back to work). Managed to go on a run yesterday to find my C25K app had reset (changed 'phones). I can't decide whether to redo the five weeks or 'cheat' by letting the app run while I'm not? Any advice?
C25K reset : Unfortunately I stopped again at... - Couch to 5K
C25K reset
What do you feel you want to do.. Repeating the five weeks will get you back in the swing of things...it can be fun and many of us do this for different reasons...
As for stopping when you went back to work...well you didn't have to... you just needed to get up earlier
I used to get up at 5.30 when I was still teaching, to do my walk/runs across the fields......... ( Before I started C25K )... a great start to the day... and setting you up for the rigours of the classroom
You will makes the correct choice and be back on track soon
Thanks for your reply. I am thinking of doing the first run of each week to get back into the swing of things.
Unfortunately I already get up at 5.30am to beat the traffic! I just need to build the run into my schedule
Sounds like a plan... Oh gosh... You must be exhausted when you reach work.. it is tricky to get it all in...you will find a way...I am loathe to suggest lunch time... playing fields??? Probably too much going on... I have been out of it for a while ! Good luck anyway!
Welcome back. Scheduling is a problem for most people, it’s just that teachers have a more flexible schedule during the kids holidays. I decide what days and what time I’m running for the week on a Sunday evening and it helps to have an app telling me it’s run day.
I have a friend who is a Deputy Head in a large Primary School and I know she finds it hard to run during term time as we were always at school so early in the morning and quite late in the evening. She does a long run at the weekend, does a run one lunch time round the field (some of the children join her), and sometimes will run at 5pm from school and back, then continue with some work (or go to Govs meeting or other meeting if there is one). I know how tough it is... I didn't run when I was in her job, so I don't know how I would have fitted it in. But best of luck.
