With a mixture of weather, cold/flu, work and life in general my running has been cut to only a couple of opportunities a week - and then I had a few "failures" (where I didn't run the full 30 mins so didn't count them as completed)
Well this morning the kids decided to have a lie in and skip the local junior parkrun so I took my chance to get in an early morning run.
I only bloody did it!!
I've not been mega active in here but I have been lurking and reading others posts of encouragement but also stories of pain, suffering and plenty of "never going to do this"
I still can't believe that only a few weeks ago I was struggling running 3 or 5 mins at a time, and whilst I don't think I'm up to 5km quite yet I'm feeling really chuffed that I made it and I'm not stopping now!
For anyone who thinks they can't make it just keep on trucking and you'll get there!!

Thanks Mike, yeah, that's the trick, what to do next! My initial thought was to get a bit more comfortable and faster, but I want to join the rest of the family on a parkrun soon!
Cheers! Oh boy life does that huh?! I'm really pleased and a little relieved as I actually really like running but was reluctant to get really into it just in case my knackered body couldn't quite cope! Now found that it can, but now I guess I just need to keep with it and work on the fitness generally.
Cheers, nearly there yourself then I really liked W8 but then a cold/flu/thing might have appeared just at the end of it, so might have had to work that bit hard for W9, still
